Version 3.5 of BlogSoft is out of the door, after 4 months working 24/7 finishing it up between server crashes and scaling troubles. So I'm tired, but it's there. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of lot better than the previous version.

This time around we will use all our energy to remove all the bugs before we even think about new features. We learnt that the hard way the last time. We've squashed 9 bugs today already. One of them was a mean badass that caused all kinds of trouble. We nailed him after a 10 hours mad hunt.

We now power the 19th largest site in Sweden (stats at the bottom). Damn. I remember thinking that I would be happy if 100 users or so signed up. Now we get around 1k each day. It's been a strange ride.

I'll go to bed now. Been working for 17 hours straight. It's a new day tomorrow.

Very little blogging lately, but too much work. Here's a sneak peak behind the curtains at BlogSoft while we're doing some maintenance work :) (Norwegian)

I'm just testing the newest BlogSoft feature... Check the title ;)

We've just upgraded BlogSoft to version 2.5 (more on that in a later post). We ran into a bunch of issues (murphy was in da house, as always), but at least not as bad as these guys.

We're implementing BlogSoft for a new Norwegian customer, and several others are on the way. Pretty exciting, can't wait to see how it turns out ;)

We had some bad DNS problems yesterday that made weblogg.no un-available for its users more or less the whole day. We're sorry about that.

We've worked really hard the last months with the new version of BlogSoft. We've not set a definite release date yet, but it will be quite soon... In the mean time, I would like to share a couple of our new features with you:

Blog video

You can now blog video! All you need is a webcam and the Flash plugin installed in your browser. The video is also played back in your blog with Flash.
Record > Preview > Post , easy as that.

Add Amazon products

You can easily add ALL types of Amazon products to your sidebar. Display your favourite books, movies or music. Several new tags are also developed to display the output.

Administrate links in sidebar / blogroll

We've made an administration interface for your favourite links. That means no more hardcoding in the templates.

Include > Include template fragments, like footer, header etc.

Fast internal AND external search for entry content.

We've purchased the short number 2074, all our mobile content now goes thru that number. Easy to remember and all that :)

That's some of our new main features. There's more to come, and a lots of other improvements are done and in the works.
